This Replacement and Warranty Policy ("Policy") governs the terms under which Module Mountain ("Seller," "we," or "us") provides warranty coverage, exchanges, and returns for items sold on modulemountain.com ("Website"). By purchasing products from Module Mountain, the Buyer ("you" or "Buyer") agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy.

1. ONE YEAR WARRANTY

All products sold by Module Mountain are covered by a One Year Warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use. The warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the item as recorded in the shipping tracking information.

2. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

The warranty does not include the following:

  • Labor costs associated with installation or removal of parts.
  • Key and/or locksmith fees incurred during installation or reprogramming.
  • Shipping, handling, and any other related fees incurred during the warranty process.
  • Damages or injuries resulting from the use, installation, or removal of the product.

Buyer Acknowledgement:
Buyer acknowledges that Seller’s liability under this warranty is limited solely to the price of the item sold. Module Mountain is not liable for any damages or injuries sustained that result from the use of any product sold. The Buyer hereby relinquishes any claim for damages or injury arising from the use of the product, and agrees that Seller shall not be held responsible for such claims.

3. VOIDING OF WARRANTY

The warranty will be voided if the item shows any of the following:

  • Burnt components
  • Physical damage (e.g., cracked, dented, broken parts)
  • Water damage
  • Misuse or abuse (including improper handling or use not intended by the manufacturer)
  • Modifications, tampering, or if the item has been opened
  • Vehicle collision where the module may have been damaged
  • Security seal removed, broken, or damaged
  • After one claim has been made under the warranty

4. EXCHANGES ONLY (NO CASH REFUNDS)

Return/Exchange Period:

  • Module Mountain does not accept returns for cash refunds. All sales are final.
  • Exchanges are available for defective items within 30 days from the date of receipt of the item, based on the delivery date recorded in the shipment tracking information.
  • NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for requests outside of the 30-day period.

Condition of Returned Items:

  • Exchanges will only be accepted for items in original, unaltered condition.
  • All returned electrical parts will be inspected for signs of burnt components, physical damage, and water damage.
  • The Buyer is responsible for returning the faulty unit to Seller at their own expense for testing before a replacement is issued.

Processing of Exchanges:

  • All exchanges will be processed in the order received and may take longer than the original processing time.
  • No exchange will be issued until the returned item has been received by Module Mountain.

5. RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA)

  • Exchanges require an RMA number. To initiate an exchange, the Buyer must contact Module Mountain to obtain an RMA before returning the item.
  • Unauthorized exchanges (without an RMA) will not be processed. Unauthorized returns will be held for up to 45 days after receipt. If the return is not claimed or accompanied by an RMA within 45 days, Seller reserves the right to maintain possession of the item and not issue a replacement.

6. FEES AND EXPENSES

  • No reimbursement will be provided for any fees expended by the Buyer in connection with a potential faulty or defective item, including but not limited to:
    • Locksmith fees
    • Diagnostic fees
    • Rental car fees
    • Storage fees
    • Dealership fees
    • Third-party reprogramming fees
  • The Buyer acknowledges and accepts that Module Mountain is not responsible for reimbursing any of these costs under any circumstances.

7. BUYER UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE

By completing the purchase of an item from Module Mountain, the Buyer:

  • Understands and agrees to the terms of this Policy.
  • Acknowledges that the warranty is limited to the price of the item sold.
  • Accepts that the terms of this Policy will govern the resolution of any warranty or exchange request, and that the terms herein shall be controlling.
